EDINBURG, TEXAS – The University of the Incarnate Word baseball team travels to UT-Pan American for an afternoon game at 2 p.m. on Tuesday.
The Cardinals (10-16) are hitting .252 as a team with three regulars hitting at least .297.
Ethan McGill (Penn Valley, CA/Nevada Union HS) leads the team with a .322 batting average while
Christian Divelbiss (Yuba City, CA/Yuba City HS) is hitting .308.
Matt Morris (Scottsdale, AZ/Saguaro HS) leads the team with 17 runs, 17 RBI's, 10 doubles and three home runs.
Cody Richey (Comfort/Comfort HS) is scheduled to take the mound for the Cardinals. He has struggled in his last three appearances, but prior to that he was pitching well with a 3.52 ERA through the first 15.1 innings he worked.
The Broncs (11-14) are hitting .255 as a team and scoring nearly five runs per game. Logan Landon leads the team with a .440 batting average, 24 runs, 23 RBI's, seven doubles and four home runs. The team has a 4.33 earned run average. Parker Gallegos is slated to make the start on the mound. He is 1-2 with a 3.54 ERA in five starts.
