Cardinals Host Saints

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – The University of the Incarnate Word men's basketball team will attempt to extend their current winning streak to seven games on Saturday at 4 p.m. when they play Our Lady of the Lake at the McDermott Center.

The Cardinals (11-1) are off to a great start to the season and they have won each of their last six games by at least 19 points.  Kyle Hittle (New Braunfels/New Braunfels HS) and Denzel Livingston (Houston/Waltrip HS) are a dynamic 1-2 scoring punch for the team.  Hittle leads the way with 17.9 points per game while shooting 60.2 percent from the field and 54.0 percent from three-point range.  In addition he is grabbing 5.8 rebounds per game.  Livingston pumps in 17.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game.  He also leads the team with 18 blocks and 24 steals for the year.

The Saints (5-5) are averaging 93.0 points per game, but are allowing 90.0 points per game.  Xavier Roberson is having an outstanding season for the squad averaging 24.7 points per game and he has made 47 three-pointers in 10 games.

This is the final non-conference game of the season for the Cardinals before they open up Southland Conference play on Thursday at Southeastern Louisiana.
