WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS – Time Warner Cable has teamed up with Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls and the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio to bring you exciting college basketball action.
Time Warner Cable will feature a double-header of hoops action between Lone Star Conference rivals, UIW Cardinals and MSU Mustangs. Both the women's and men's game will be available live to digital customers in Texas on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel (channel 888 in San Antonio and Wichita Falls) this Thursday, January 31.
The women's game begins at 5:30 PM CST and the men's game immediately follows with play-by-play coverage by broadcast veteran, Dan Hawkins and Skip Boyden as color analyst.
SportsChannel is available to all TWC digital customers across the state of Texas. The partnership is an extension of the relationship shared with UIW and MSU to provide live coverage of sporting events to customers.
Both the men's and women's matchups are of utmost importance in the Lone Star Conference standings. On the women's side of the ledger, the Mustangs (14-3, 9-2) are a half game out of first place while the Cardinals (12-5, 8-3) are just a game behind MSU. The Cardinals won the first meeting between the two teams, 82-81 in double overtime on November 30.
The men's game features a battle between the top two teams in the conference. The Cardinals (12-6, 8-2) and Mustangs (12-5, 8-2) are tied for first place with identical 8-2 records. MSU won the first game between the two teams this year, 74-69 in San Antonio.
