SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – The University of the Incarnate Word volleyball team is back in action this weekend at the Tarleton State Tournament in Stephenville. The Cardinals play two matches on Friday and two more on Saturday.
The Cardinals (0-4) take on Southeastern Oklahoma on Friday at 12:00 p.m. and then play Ouachita Baptist at 5 o'clock. On Saturday, the team plays New Mexico Highlands at 9:30 a.m. and then closes out the tourney with a 2:30 p.m. match with William Jewell.
The Cardinals first two opponents are both looking for their first wins of the season and only New Mexico Highlands has a winning record heading into the weekend.

Angelique Vidaurri (San Antonio/Southwest HS) and senior
Lydia Werchan (Spring Branch/Smithson Valley HS) were the Cardinals' top two players at the Oredigger Volleyball Classic held last weekend in Golden, CO. Vidaurri averaged 4.00 kills and 2.23 digs per set while attacking at a .265 clip. Werchan led the team with 4.38 digs per set on defense.
