INCARNATE WORD 9, OUR LADY OF THE LAKE 0

Incarnate Word's women's tennis team wasted little time Tuesday afternoon on the way to a 9-0 blanking of startup program Our Lady of the Lake.

The Cardinals swept through the opening doubles matches with ease winning all three.  That is a huge step in collegiate tennis as nine matches are played total and a 3-0 advantage after doubles most times in insurmountable.

UIW then swept the six singles led by Adrianna Hernandez at the top.  Playing number one Hernandez set the pace with a 6-0, 6-1 victory over OLL's Audrey Alba.

Next up for UIW is a Saturday home match against Heartland Conference chief rival St. Edward's.  The first serve is set for 10 a.m. at the Mabry Center.  These two are sparring for the top seed in next month's Heartland championship tournament.
