SAN ANTONIO -- The University of the Incarnate Word women's soccer team will begin the 2026 regular season in less than a month.

Following an Aug. 5 exhibition at Texas A&M, the Cardinals will travel to Prairie View, Texas to face Prairie View A&M in the regular-season opener at 7 p.m. on Aug. 12.

This starts a challenging non-conference slate that will feature road matches against power-conference opponents SMU (Aug. 23), Miami (Aug. 27) and Texas (Aug. 30) all within the span of a week.

UIW will start the home portion of its schedule against Texas A&M San Antonio on Aug. 16, one of nine matches to be played at Gayle and Tom Benson Stadium. 

A 10-game Southland Conference run will begin and end at home as well, as the Cardinals host East Texas A&M on Sept. 17, then close the regular season against Houston Christian Nov. 5.

The SLC Conference Tournament is slated to begin on Nov. 10, with the highest-seeded team hosting.
