The Incarnate Word women's track and field team sits in seventh with 27 points after two days of competition at the 2026 Southland Conference Outdoor Championships.
The Cardinals had four athletes score points on the day, starting with
Gia Booth finishing eighth in shot put with a throw of 13.81 meters.
Emma Williams followed shortly after with a seventh-place finish in the triple jump with her best jump going for 11.48 meters.
Emily Torres and
Sophia Keiser both earned points in the 3,000-meter steeple in the last event of the night. Torres placed fifth with a time of 11:13.82 and Keiser came in 12 seconds later, 11:25.54, to finish eighth.
Incarnate Word also had three runners qualify for Saturday finals.
Dasya Tolbert qualified for the 100 meter hurdles finals with the third-best time of the day at 13.49 seconds.
Kallie Morrison and
Harmoniey Rector both qualified for the finals in the 400-meter dash with times of 54.79 seconds and 55.31 seconds, respectively.
The Cardinals will look to close out the Southland Conference Outdoor Championships strong on Saturday.
