The second day of the Texas Invitational for the Incarnate Word women's track and field team featured just field events.

Fatima Montes won the javelin throw with a distance of 34.19 meters. Then a pair of Cardinals, Gia Booth and Janelle Herrera, took 4th and 6th respectively, in hammer throw. Booth threw 43.35 meters and Herrera posted 37.59 meters in the event.

Incarnate Word is off next week as they prepare for the Southland Conference Championships, held May 14-16 in Nacogdoches, TX.
