FRISCO, Texas – UIW's Estefania Gonzalez has won this week's Southland Conference Tennis Players of the Week award, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday. 

Gonzalez helped UIW upset Northwestern State on the road this past week, winning her match at No. 1 singles 6-2, 6-2 while securing No. 1 doubles with Ine Lamprecht 6-3. She is 3-0 at No. 1 singles in the Cardinals' last 3 matches and 6-2 overall at No. 1 singles play in conference.
