The Incarnate Word women's track and field again split time between the Texas Relays hosted by the University of Texas and the Bobcat Invitational hosted by Texas State on Friday.
Abbigail Morrow had quite the day, starting her morning in Austin with the high jump at the Texas Relays before making the short drive to San Marcos to then compete in the high jump at the Bobcat Invitational. She placed third in the high jump at both meets, doing so by clearing the 1.68-meter bar at each location.
Staying over at the Bobcat Invitational,
Dariana Luna placed seventh in the heptathlon. She entered the day in sixth place, but a pair of ninth-place finishes in the long jump and javelin slid her down to seventh at the end of the event.
Other notable results were
Gia Booth taking 11th in the shot put with top throw of 13.24 meters and
Emma Williams placing 13th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.98 seconds.
The Cardinals will take on the final day of both the Texas Relays and the Bobcat Invitational tomorrow, April 4th.
