Gonzalez Named SLC Player of the Year, Cardinals Place Three on All-Conference Team

FRISCO, Texas – The Southland Conference announced this year's Women's Tennis All-Conference Teams and Superlative awards ahead of the 2026 Southland Conference Tennis Championships.

Incarnate Word senior Estefania Gonzalez earned the conference's Player of the Year award. Gonzalez had a stellar season in singles flight No. 1, posting a 7-2 record and earning a spot on the All-Conference First Team. Gonzalez has a 10-5 record overall in singles contests, along with an 8-1 record at doubles flight No. 1.

In addition to Gonzalez's spot on the All-Conference First Team, grad student Alexandra Paule Jacqueline Mille was named to the All-Conference Second Team at No. 6 singles. Gonzalez and fellow senior Ine Lamprecht claimed First Team honors at No. 1 doubles

Incarnate Word will be the No. 5 seed in next week's Southland Championships, where they will take on fourth-seeded Stephen F. Austin on Sunday, April 19, at 2:00 p.m. in Beaumont, Texas.
