The Incarnate Word women's track and field team wrapped-up the 44 Farms Invitational at Texas A&M University with a pair of season-best performances to go along with four top-10 finishes.
Victoria Arowosegbe ran a season-best 12.05 seconds in the 100 meter dash, followed by a season-best 56.56 seconds from Harmoiney Rector in the 400 meter dash.
Arowosegbe and Rector later teamed up with
Emma Williams and
Kallie Morrison to place sixth in the 4x100 meter relay, posting a time of 45.87 seconds.
That matched the highest finish for the Cardinals on the day as
Alaine Hernandez also recorded a sixth-place finish in pole vault with a clearance of 3.67 meters.
Isabella Gonzalez-Velasquez recorded an eighth-place finish in high jump, finding a way over the 1.63 meters bar.
Other notable results in the event came from the 4x400 meter relay team of Williams, Morrison, Rector, and
Dasya Tolbert, who finished ninth with a time of 3:50.66.
Dariana Luna also finished 18th with a time of 14.25 seconds in the 100 meter hurdles.
The Cardinals head to California for the Bryan Clay Invitational, held April 16-18 by Azusa Pacific.
