4x100M Relay Win Highlights Cardinals Weekend at Texas State Classic

A first-place finish in the 4x100 meter relay highlighted the Incarnate Word women's track and field team's weekend at the Texas State Charles Austin Classic.

Notable Results
  • The relay team of Victoria Arowosegbe, Emma Williams, Harmoiney Rector, and Kallie Morrison ran a 45.78 to win the 4x100 meter relay to wrap up the meet. It's the 8th fastest time in UIW history.
  • Dasya Tolbert placed second in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 14.03 seconds.
  • Abbigail Morrow also came away with a second place finish, hers coming in the high jump. She was one of two athletes to clear 1.65 meters, but clearing her first two heights on her first attempt gave her the tiebreaker to earn second.
  • Kallie Morrison finished third in the 200 meter dash, posting a time of 24.12 seconds.
  • Sohpia Keiser and Gia Booth just missed out on podium finishes, with Keiser coming in fourth in the 3,000 meter steeplechase and Booth finishing fourth in both discus throw and hammer throw.
Next up for the Cardinals is the Texas Relays which will bring UIW to Austin, TX from April 1-4.
