The Incarnate Word Women's Track & Field Team concluded Day 1 of the Javis Scott Invite at Texas Tech University with a pair of Top-10 finishes and a strong showing in the 60m Hurdles event.

The Cardinals return to the track on Saturday, February 14th to wrap up the Invite.

Notables

• Senior Iliana Singh and Freshman Alaine Hernandez both cleared 3.54 meters on their final attempt to finish tied for 8th in the Women's Pole Vault B Section Final.
• Dasya Tolbert raced to an 8.62-second time in the first round of 60m Hurdles, qualifying her for the semifinals. She improved her time by .07 seconds to 8.55 seconds in the semifinals, however, she just missed out on qualifying for the finals, missing the qualifying time by .08 seconds.
