CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The University of the Incarnate Word baseball team faced Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (TAMUCC) for game two of the three-game series on Saturday night at Chapman Field. TAMUCC defeated UIW, 4-1.
UIW registered five hits on the night.
Taylor Darden opened the game with an RBI single to right field to put the Cardinals up, 1-0.
An Islander home run put TAMUCC ahead 2-1 in the second frame. Then, a sacrifice fly to left field brought another Islander home as they took a 3-1 advantage in the fourth inning.
TAMUCC tacked another run to the board in the bottom of the ninth to take game two, 4-1.

The Cardinals head into the series finale at Chapman Field on Sunday, March 27, at 1 p.m. CT.
