SAN ANTONIO - Season tickets for the University of the Incarnate Word men's basketball team are now on sale to the general public. Fans who are interested in being a part of the Cardinals 2022-23 season can purchase their tickets
here.
UIW men's basketball season tickets will include a big-name matchup against the University of North Dakota while seeing local opponents such as Texas Lutheran and Our Lady of the Lake.
"It's an exciting slate. Opening at home versus a tough North Dakota team will tip matters off in an energized fashion," men's basketball head coach
Dr. Carson Cunningham said. "By late December we should be ready to take on the competitive gauntlet that is the Southland Conference."
Men's basketball returns several student-athletes for the 2022-23 season. Last year's leading scorer
Josh Morgan and
Charlie Yoder look forward to another season with the Cardinals. Last season Morgan was named the Southland Conference Student-Athlete of the year and finished second in three-pointers made. Yoder will look to play his first full season after making a big impact for UIW in conference play last season.
Two transfer student-athletes –
Andre Cruz and
Jonathan Cisse – joined the Cardinals' roster. Cruz a sophomore from Western Wyoming Community College and Cisse, a junior from Indian River State College. Cunningham filled out the remainder of the roster with seven freshmen.
