FRISCO, Texas – Stephen F. Austin's Colleen Feagins, Sam Houston's Katarina Baehren and UIW's Margaret Kofron are the Southland women's soccer players of the week, the league announced Tuesday. Weekly awards are presented by Hercules Tires.

Kofron garners Goalkeeper of the Week recognition after making 13 saves and allowing just one goal in a 1-0-1 week for the Cardinals, clinching a conference tournament berth with a 1-1 draw versus Central Arkansas and a 1-0 victory over Northwestern State.

Goalkeeper of the Week: Margaret Kofron, UIW – Sophomore – Round Rock, Texas
Kofron faced 30 shots and 15 corner kicks over the weekend but still managed to only let one ball by her, tallying 13 saves. In the shutout win over the Demons, she made eight stops, including seven in the second half, to keep the game scoreless for Sierra Wanamaker's 89^th minute game-winner. Kofron got in front of four shots in a 17-second span in the 54^th minute and made her last save in the 87^th minute.
