NACOGDOCHES, Texas – The University of the Incarnate Word baseball team lit up the scoreboard in game two of the Friday night doubleheader for a 15-9 win over SFA at Jaycee's Field. 

Jordan McFarland ignited the offense with a team-high 3-for-5 night in the second game. Lee Thomas, Drew Minter and Ryan Flores each added three runs as the Cardinals powered their way to a victory after dropping the first two games of the series. 

UIW finally got back to their offensive production with four runs in each of the first and second innings as McFarland and Thomas hit back-to-back doubles to get a run across the plate first. Flores reached on an error by the SFA first baseman and Thomas motored around to score. Zach Limas reached on another Lumberjack error and Grant Smith singled to center to score Limas and Flores for the quick 4-0 lead. 

The second inning started with Ridge Rogers reaching on a hit-by-pitch, a McFarland strikeout and back-to-back walks by Thomas and Minter loaded the bases. Flores scored Rogers on a deep sac fly to center field and Limas drew a two-out walk to reload the bases for Noah Brewer to crush a three-run double down the right-field line to clear the bases and give UIW the 8-2 lead. 

SFA scored two runs in each of its first three innings at the plate for an 8-6 Cardinals' lead. 

Smith added two more runs in the fourth inning when he reached on an error by the shortstop that scored Minter and Flores who walked and singled to lead off the inning. SFA countered with three runs in the bottom half as the Cardinals clung to a 10-9 lead. 

UIW (11-10, 8-7 SLC) rattled off four hits and a walk in the fifth inning before SFA () recorded an out. McFarland singled and Thomas was off the races with a triple to the right-field corner and scored on the play as the ball was thrown past the third baseman. Minter walked and back-to-back singles by Flores and Medina to score Minter pushed the Cardinals ahead 13-9. UIW capped off its five-run fifth inning with an RBI sac fly off the bat of Brewer and Smith's ground out scored Medina from third for the 15-9 score. 

In game one, SFA wasted no time with four runs in the first innings, two in the third and five in the fourth of game one for the 11-1 win in the seven-inning game. Wilson Ehrhardt's sac fly in the top of the fourth inning scored Lee Thomas. The Cardinals were held to just five hits in the first game.
