SAN ANTONIO – University of the Incarnate Word hosts Nicholls this Saturday, October 16 at 11 a.m. in an ESPN+ televised game. UIW will also be celebrating Hispanic Heritage by having mariachis perform before the game in the UIW fan zone as well as honoring the Fiesta Court on the field before kickoff. This will include Miss Fiesta, Miss San Antonio and from the San Antonio Cavilers, King Antonio.

THE LAST TIME THEY MET
- The two programs last met on March 27, 2021, when the Cardinals fell to the Colonels 45-75
- This was the Cardinals first loss of the 2021 spring season before going on. 3-0 wining stretch
- Carson Mohr registered his first field goal of the season with a 26-yard completion to pull the Cardinals within three
- Cameron Ward then found Robert Ferrel to cut the lead to 27-17
- The Colonels continued to extend their lead scoring three more touchdowns in the first half for a 55-24 lead at the half. Nicholls then came out of the locker room tallying on another two touchdowns and a field goal for the largest lead of the game, 68-24.
- UIW broke the Nicholls scoring streak with 2:27 to go in the third quarter as Ward launched one to Jayden Jones for 10 yards into the endzone.
- The Cardinals offense got the ball back resulting in Ward passing to Ferrel to make the score, 68-37.
- UIW's final points of the game came when Ward made a 23-yard pass to Kaleb Ducros, for a touchdown and followed it up with a toss to Ferrel for the two-point conversion.
- The Cardinals look to end their career five-game losing streak to the Colonels
