LUBBOCK, Texas – The University of the Incarnate Word men's and women's track and field teams had another successful day, with multiple Cardinals setting new personal records at the Sports Performance Center in the Texas Tech Shootout.
"We had a solid day two," head coach Derek Riedel said. "Richard kept his hot streak going with a new school record in the 400. He's really starting to roll. Afiah had another really good day with a PR in the 60-meter hurdles and Keira had a good day in triple jump. Alia had a huge 15 second PR in the 3k."
"Overall, it was a great weekend of performances for the Cardinals. We're right where we want to be two weeks prior to conference. I'm proud of the group effort and the determination they continue to show."
