After a good start to the Jarvis Scott Invite on Friday, the Incarnate Word Men's Track and Field Team had a strong showing in Day 2 on Saturday with three Top-5 finishes and six Top-10 finishes in the day's events.

The Cardinals have two weeks to prepare for the Southland Conference Championship, set to be held on February 25th and 26th in Birmingham, AL.

Notables

• Three Cardinals finished in the top 10 of Men's Pole Vault.
  • Tommaso Franze cleared 4.89m and finished just outside the podium in fourth place.
  • Austin Davisson cleared 4.74m on his first attempt and finished 7th, while Jonah Ulbricht also cleared 4.74m, but on his second attempt at the height and finished 10th.
• 5 runners finished in the top 13 in the Men's 3000m.
  • Eric Pineda finished third in the event, running the 3000-meter race in 8:27.97.
  • Christian Castro-Cruz came in just over two seconds behind Pineda at 8:30.02 and placed fifth.
  • Anthony Zapata finished 10th, Kamron Loera finished 11th, and Ethan Malesich finished 13th at 8:36.71, 8:39.82, and 8:46.60, respectively.
• Evan Thompson finished 21st in Shot Put, throwing 15.10m.
• Bryan Mileski finished 25th in the Men's Mile with a time of 4:25.17.
