The Incarnate Word Men's Track & Field Team concluded Day 1 of the Javis Scott Invite at Texas Tech University with a few notable finishes.

The Cardinals return to the track on Saturday, February 14th to wrap up the Invite.

Notables

• Freshman Tajh Jones finished 10th in the Long Jump B Section Final, clearing 7.00 meters in his three attempts.
• Alex Brown finished 10th in the Men's Weight Throw, posting 18.08 meters.
• Gabriel Grebet ran 8.00 seconds in the Men's 60m Hurdles First Round, qualifying him for the semifinals. In the semis, Grebet posted an 8.03 finish, falling .07 seconds shy of finishing top-8 and advancing to the finals.
• A pair of Cardinals, Ethan Malesich and Anthony Zapata finished Top-15 in the Men's 800m. Malesich placed 13th with a time of 1:52.72 and Zapata finished 15th with a time of 1:52.78.
