SAN ANTONIO -- The University of the Incarnate Word women's tennis team hosted, and ultimately fell 7-0 to, Texas A&M- Corpus Christi in their Friday afternoon matchup.
 
The Islanders swung early after the Cardinals suffered a forfeit due to a lack of healthy players, for A&M- Corpus Christi to secure the doubles point.
 
In singles competition, Victoria Kareh battled through but was unable to match her opponent to drop her two sets trailing 7-6, 7-5. The Islanders tallied wins on all five courts, with a forfeit on court six.
 
UP NEXT
The Cardinals host their last home match of the season on Sunday (April 7) to host Lamar University. Game play is set to begin at 11 a.m. (CT).
