NATCHITOCHES, La. -- The University of the Incarnate Word women's tennis team closed out Southland Conference regular season play with a 7-0 loss to Northwestern State University on Sunday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
Victoria Kareh went to battle in the No. 1 spot for the Cardinals, showing out endurance to be the second to last singles match to finish. Kareh secured the first set with a 7-5 finish. Her NSU opponent went on to snatch the second set, followed by an endurance set for the third set to finish 10-6 with the singles point ultimately going to NSU.
 
In the No. 3 position, Alejandra Tamayo battled through two sets with a close first-set drop, with NSU grabbing another point after two sets (7-5, 6-3).
 
With NSU securing the doubles points due to a Cardinals injury in court 3, the Lady Demons solidified the match day with a final score of 7-0.
