DALLAS -- The University of the Incarnate Word men's tennis team defeated Arkansas-Pine Bluff, 7-0, on Saturday afternoon in Dallas.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Cardinals kicked off the dual with a win in doubles. After a victory on court three due to a shortage of Golden Lion student-athletes, the UIW duo of Gabriel Evans and Sebastian Mortier bested Harris and Ledbetter, 6-2, to secure the point. Paco Bendana and Caleb Dyer, playing in the No. 2 spot, topped Ross and Lewis, 6-0.
 
In singles, Oliver Valentinsson, Dennis Boisseau, and Paco Bendana each secured a double bagel win (6-0, 6-0). Playing in the No. 1 and No. 2 spots, respectively, Evans (6-4, 6-1) and Mortier (6-0, 6-1) captured points six and seven as the Cardinals won 7-0.
 
UP NEXT
UIW stays in Dallas to face SMU on Sunday at 12 p.m. (CT) before heading home to take on St. Mary's at the Mabry Tennis Center on Feb. 15 at 10 a.m.
