Bloomington, Ind.-- Postseason competition for
Erekha Sebastion and
Sarea Alexander continue as the two are set to compete at the USATF Outdoor Championships.
Sebastion is slated to run the 400m at Indiana University's on-campus Hayes Track at the Haugh Complex at 6:10 p.m. CT on Saturday, June 16. During the outdoor season, Sebastion posted a personal best time of 24.08 at the Texas State Bobcat Classic. She also recorded a PR of 55.69 in the 400m at the Southland Conference Outdoor Championships.
Alexander is scheduled to compete in the women's long jump on June 23 at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa.  The final list from USATF will be released this weekend, but Alexander sits comfortably in 11th place in the 18-woman field. She was crowned Southland Conference Outdoor champion in the long jump with a leap of 6.54m/21-5.5. Alexander last competed at the NCAA Division I West Preliminary Regional in Sacramento, Calif., where she placed 13th in the event with a mark of 5.96m/19-6.75.
The top two finishers in each event at the Junior Outdoor Championships have the opportunity of selecting themselves to represent the USA National Team. Student-athletes must meet the criteria as outlined in the athlete manual on
www.usatf.org.

Alexander has a chance to earn hardware as medals will be given out accordingly to the top six finishers in each event. First place receives a gold medal and second place receives silver, while student-athletes finishing third through sixth place each take bronze. Â
