HUNTSVILLE, Texas – The University of the Incarnate Word women's tennis team looks to end the regular season on a positive note with momentum heading into their first Southland Conference Tournament when the Cardinals play a neutral-site match against Stephen F. Austin on Sunday, Apr. 22 at noon from Sam Houston State's McAdams Tennis Center in Huntsville, Texas.
 
CARDINALS ARE IN THE PLAYOFFS
 
Thanks to New Orleans' victory over Lamar last weekend, UIW earns the eighth and final spot in the upcoming Southland Conference Tournament, scheduled for Apr. 27-29 in Beaumont, Texas.
 
THE MATCHUP
 
SFA (3-17 overall, 1-9 SLC) shut out Arkansas-Pine Bluff, 6-0, on Apr. 18. The Ladyjacks' only conference win came against New Orleans, 5-2, on Mar. 17.
 
UIW (5-16, 3-7) looks to snap a three-game skid. The Cardinals' last match was a 7-0 blanking against Abilene Christian on Apr. 14. UIW has conference wins over Southeastern Louisiana (4-3), Nicholls (4-3), and Lamar (6-1).
