Matea Zemunik won both of her matches, but the University of the Incarnate Word women's tennis team lost their Southland Conference opener, 6-1, to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Tuesday afternoon from the Mabry Tennis Center.
Zemunik and
Victoria Kareh won their doubles match, 6-1, to tie the doubles point at 1-1, but the Cardinals lost number two doubles in a close one for the Islanders to win the all-important point.
