HOW IT HAPPENED
QTR 1 (16-31): Arizona came out of the gate on fire from beyond the arc, hitting six three pointers to help create 31 first quarter points. UIW held its own offensively, shooting 54 percent from the field (7-13). But the perimeter offense from the Wildcats was too much to handle in the opening frame. Freshman forward
Starr Omozee led the team with six points while
Robinson led the team with two rebounds.
QTR 2 (23-43): The Cardinals adjusted their defense for the second quarter, holding UA to just 12 points, but the offense couldn't take advantage of the defensive effort and Arizona extended its lead to 20 at the half.
Wiggins led the Cardinals with four points,
Alexis Henry paced UIW on the glass, collecting three boards.
QTR 3 (31-61): Turnovers continued to plague the Cardinals in the third while the Arizona defense kept UIW off balance.
Robinson delivered five points in the quarter off her fifth made three of the season.
QTR 4 (42-84): Arizona closed out the fourth quarter with strong defense to win its fifth game of the season.
