SAN ANTONIO -- The University of the Incarnate Word men's basketball team lost to the University of Northern Colorado, 90-64, in a non-conference game on Wednesday night at the McDermott Center.

UIW is now 4-4 on the year. UNC improves to 3-0.

NOTABLES
- UIW made an 11-0 run early in the second half to cut UNC's lead to six points.
- Christian Peevy and Augustine Ene led the Cardinals with 26 and 16 points, respectively. Jordan Davis and Jonah Radebauch each scored 20 for Northern Colorado.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half:
- UIW started Antoine Smith Jr, Cody Graham, Charles Brown III, Morgan Taylor and Jorden Kite.
- The visiting Bears jumped out to a 14-5 lead on the strength of four three-pointers.
- UNC opened a 22-point lead with three minutes left in the half.
- The Bears led at halftime, 49-31.
- UNC shot 55.2 from the field and sunk five three-pointers.
- Ene had nine points for UIW; Dwight Murray had eight. Ene hit four of six shots.Â
Second Half:
- Peevy opened the second half with a three-point play for the Cardinals.
- Ene followed with a three-point play of his own, his second of the evening, cutting the Bear lead to 12.
- The Cardinals cut the Bear lead to 51-43 on consecutive buckets by Ene and Peevy.
- Taylor's bucket cut the UC lead to 51-45 with 16:21 remaining. That capped an 11-0 run by the Cardinals.
- UNC then went on an 15-0 run to take a 21-point lead, which they held or built upon until the end.
- Northern Colorado shot 55 percent from the floor. Â
