SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The University of the Incarnate Word volleyball team is set to host both Texas A&M -Corpus Christi and McNeese State University. The Cardinals will take on the Islanders Tuesday and the Cowgirls Thursday. Both matches will be played at 7 p.m. in the McDermott Convocation Center.
OPENING SET
UIW enters the match 1-1 in conference play. The team is coming off of a four set victory over Southeastern Louisiana. Texas A&M Corpus Christi won the Southland Conference tournament last season. The Islanders have a 5-8 overall record and are 2-0 in the Southland with successes over Southeastern Louisiana and the University of New Orleans.
McNeese is currently 1-1 in the conference series with a 9-7 record overall. The Cowgirls swept Nicholls in three sets, but were defeated 3-0 by Houston Baptist.
