University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

2017 Season (Freshman): Miller shined as a defensive specialist and libero in her freshman season, collecting 31 digs against McNeese State University in 4-sets and 30 against Sam Houston State in Early November. This season she delivered 406 total digs, averaging 4.6 per set. She collected 3 aces against Nicholls State University. Miller played 88 sets and 23 matches this season, contributing to 33 points.

High School:  A three-sport athlete, Miller was a member of both the Lorena High School volleyball team, soccer team and cheerleading squad. She was named Lady Leopard Defensive Player of the Year, 17-4a District MVP, Super Centex Defensive Player of the Year, Texas Sports Wristers Association Second Team, All-State, Academic All-District and Academic All-State as a member of the Bi-District, Area and Regional Quarter Final Championship team. Miller was the Max Preps National Leader in Digs (1,200) and participated in the FCA Victory Bowl.

On the pitch, Miller was named Super Centex Player of the Year, TASCO Second Team All-Region, 17-4a District MVP, Lady Leopards MVP, Academic All-District and Academic All-State as a member of the District, Bi-District and Area Championship Team. She was also a member of the All-Tournament team.

Miller was an All-American Cheer nominee and an All-American Cheerleader, cheering in London at the New Year's Day Parade.

An honor roll member, Miller was a member of the National Charity League, FCA, FCCLA and the Teen Leadership of Waco. She served as a volunteer with the Family Abuse Center, Susan G. Komen Foundation, Lend a Hand National Charity League and Mission Waco.

Personal:  Daughter of Toby and Shelly Miller, Madelynn has two siblings, Kennedy and Caden. An Elementary Education major, she plans to secure a position as a teacher, with hopes of impacting the lives of her students and empowering them as young people. Miller was born on Sept. 29, 1998 in Kansas City, Mo.
