2017 (Sophomore): Edwards played in 23 matches this season, racking up 125 total kills and 11 aces. Her attack percent peaked at 0.333 against both UTRGV and Quinnipiac. She snagged 18 digs in 4-sets against Sam Houston State.

2016 (Freshman):  Edwards saw action in 22 matches, making two starts with a total of 52 sets played. She registered 47 kills, 22 digs and 11 blocks. Edwards had a season-high 11 kills against Texas Southern, and posted seven kills against Alabama.

High School:  Edwards was named First Team All-District as a senior and Second Team All-District as a junior at Clear Springs High School. A member of the student counsil, Edwards earned Academic All-District honors and graduated cum laude. 

Personal:  The daughter of Gerard and Cherry Edwards, Emily has one brother, Alex. A Biology major, she hopes to become a dermatologist. Edwards was born on March 18, 1998, in Houston.
