SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word baseball team will host Central Michigan for a four-game series at Sullivan Field this weekend. Game times are set for Friday at 6:30 p.m., a doubleheader Saturday starting at 1 p.m. and a single game Sunday at 11 a.m.
FIRST PITCH
The Cardinals (3-2) are coming off an 11-1 run-rule victory over Prairie View A&M on Wednesday. This series will end UIW's six-game home stand, where they are 2-0 thus far. They beat Lafayette College at Wolff Stadium, then beat them at Sullivan Field both in the Alamo Irish Classic. The two losses came to St. Louis, 6-3, and Notre Dame 12-10.

Summary
The Chippewas started the season with a three-game road series against East Tennessee last weekend. They lost the first game 18-6, won the second 8-7, and dropped the last one 7-6 in 10 innings.
