SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – The University of the Incarnate Word women's tennis team fell to 0-2 on the season after a 7-0 loss at the Mabry Tennis Center to visiting Texas-San Antonio on Saturday afternoon.

The Roadrunners (2-4) opened up the match by winning two doubles matches to earn the lone point.  The Cardinals #2 doubles squad of Sarah Savedra and Jennifer Betancourt was leading 4-3 before the match was halted since UTSA won at #1 and #3.

In singles play, the Cardinals were swept at all six spots.  Betancourt played the closest match at #4 against Nicole Karaklis, but lost 7-5, 6-2.

The Cardinals are back in action next Saturday at 10 a.m. against Midwestern State at home.
