SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – On Saturday, the University of the Incarnate Word will be celebrating Homecoming and the football team will have a chance to extend their current three-game home winning streak against visiting Houston Baptist University at 6 p.m. at Benson Stadium.
The Cardinals (3-4) have outscored the opposition, 126-26 in their three home games this year and have a pair of shutouts. They are averaging 434.3 yards of offense per game while holding the opposition to only 186.3 yards per game at Benson Stadium.

The top receiver for the Cardinals is

Dominic Hamilton's 2010 record of 627 receiving yards for a season.
The UIW defense does not have one individual standout, but they have 12 players with at least 20 tackles on the season.

Robby Horton (Beeville/Jones HS) leads the team with 7.0 tackles for loss and 3.0 sacks.
In special teams, the Cardinals have an excellent punter in
Emmanuel Nunez (Dallas/Seguin HS). He is averaging 42.4 yards per punt and has had nine of his 36 punts end up inside the 20-yard line. UIW has three good kick returners who all average at least 23.0 yards per return.
The Huskies (2-2) are in their first year as a football program. They are scoring 24.5 points per game and giving up 43.5 points per game. They have a dynamic running back duo of B.J. Kelly and Craig Bell. Kelly leads the team with 81.0 yards per game on 5.0 yards per carry while Bell is averaging 56.8 yards per game on 5.3 yards per carry. Ka'Darius Baker is the starting quarterback and he is 54-of-87 for 629 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. They have three receivers with at least 10 receptions.
The HBU defense is led by the trio of Terrell Brown, Garrett Dolan and Cody Moncure. Brown has 36 tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss and an interception. Dolan and Moncure have combined for 65 tackles between the two of them.
A win for the Cardinals would give them a school record four home wins for the season and also eclipse the season win total for each of the past three years.
