A pair of runners off the Incarnate Word women's track and field team are among the elite named to the annual Lone Star Conference All-Academic team.
Selected for the women's academic squad were sophomore Shaneve Swift and junior Stephanie Glatt.
Working her way onto the team for the second year, Glatt has maintained a 3.86 grade point average while studying nursing. She is on the Incarnate Word Dean's List.
On the track Glatt this spring has run the second fastest time in UIW history in the 3,000-steeplechase. Back during the winter on the indoor circuit she posted the fourth and fifth best times at Incarnate Word in the 1-mile run.
As a sophomore Swift is a first-time eligible for the LSC academic team—freshmen and other first-year athletes are not considered. Swift has a GPA of 3.84 and her field of study is business administration.
Outside already this spring Swift has set the UIW school mark in 400-meters, the same accomplishment she attained during the winter's indoor season. Also during the indoor season she anchored the Incarnate Word record-setting 4x400 relay team.
Both Glatt (Stacey) and Swift (Clark) are from San Antonio.
