CARDINALS FALL IN LSC CHAMPIONSHIP

Leury Arias picked up the only point for the Cardinals in the title match.
The Incarnate Word men's tennis team fell just short of a Lone Star Conference title losing to Abilene Christian 5-1.

Abilene Christian captured their 4th straight LSC title and 13th overall. The Cardinals could only steal one point from the defending champs. Leury Arias defeated Alfredo Desiati 6-2, 6-4. The Wildcats got off to a hot start capturing all three doubles matches and claimed two additional singles matches to claim the title. The three remaining matches went unfinished.

The Cardinals, currently sitting at 4th in the region, will now sit and wait to see if they get selected to play in the NCAA South Central Regional tournament.
