Biography

2011-12 (Junior):  For a third straight year, DeLeon was teamed with Carlos Olvera in doubles play.  They played #1 doubles for the entire year earning all-Lone Star Conference honors.  They finished the year 9-6, including a 3-1 mark in conference play.  He lost his only singles match of the year.  He grabbed an 8-4 win against Midwestern State in the first round of the LSC Tournament in doubles.

2010-11 (Sophomore):  DeLeon was strictly a doubles player fo the Cardinals at #3.  He once again team with Carlos Olvera going 9-11 for the season.  They won a key 9-7 match in the first round of the LSC Tournament against East Central leading to a 5-4 win.

2009-10 (Freshman):  DeLeon was a consistent starter for the team at #3 doubles.  He teamed with Carlos Olvera for the majority of the year going 10-5 together.  They won both of their matches at the South Central Region Tournament.  He finished the year 11-7 in doubles and 0-1 in singles.

High School:  DeLeon was on the tennis and basketball teams at Flour Bluff High School.  He was a four-time First Team All-State selection.  He was the District MVP as a junior and senior.  He led Flour Bluff to four consecutive district titles.

Personal:  DeLeon is the son of Armando and Elsie DeLeon and is studying biology/pre-med.  He has two brothers, Alejandro and Andre, who both played tennis at St. Mary's.  His father played soccer at the University of Portland.  He was born on March 12, 1991.
