The women's tennis team survived a late scare to pick up a 5-4 victory over Gustavus Adolfus College.

Incarnate Word got off to an early lead winning two out of the three doubles matches. Maggae Doney and Lorena Rebolledo picked up an 8-6 win. Malisa Vatanadilok and Francesca Bassoo picked up their 8^th doubles victory of the year winning in a close one 9-7.
On the singles side Maggae Doney also picked up an easy victory beating Alex Erickson 6-0, 6-1.

Continuing her hot streak, Andi Botha took down GAC's Megan Born in straight sets (6-3, 6-1). This marks her 7^th straight singles victory bringing her to 12-2 overall on the season.

The Cardinals survived a scare late when Malisa Vatanadilok won the deciding game match in two sets (6-4, 6-4). Gustavus Adolfus led late in the three remaining matches before Vatanadilok scored three straight points to win her final set.

Next up for the Cardinals is an away match against St. Mary's this Friday. First serve is at 1:00 PM.
