Much like the men's team, the Incarnate Word women's tennis team split their matches to open the 2012 season

UIW got off to a slow start falling to Tyler Junior College 7-2. The only two points came from singles wins from Francesca Bassoo and Andi Botha. They quickly turned it around the next day though. The Cardinals got off to a quick 2-1 lead against Collins College. They gained an additional four points in individual matches to lock up the match 6-3. UIW got singles wins from Casey Bulls, Malisa Vatanadilok, Botha and Bassso.

Next up for the women is a home match against Midwestern State University; first serve is at 10:00 AM.
