The Incarnate Word men's tennis team opened their 2012 season with a tough road trip up north. They had a pair of matches against the #2 and #4 ranked teams in the country in the junior college division.
 
The Cardinals opened up with a 5-4 victory over Tyler Junior College, the national runner-up last year. UIW got off to a very slow start dropping all three of their doubles matches before winning five out of the six singles matches to secure the win.
 
The next day the Cardinals once again matched up against a tough opponent in Collins College. They could not find the luck they had the previous day, dropping a close contest 6-3. UIW could only win one out of the three doubles matches and ended the day with only two winners in the individual matches.
 
Next up is a home match against Midwestern State Unversity at the Mabry Tennis Courts, first serve is at 10:00 AM.
