CARDINALS BEAT MSU IN FOUR

Junior outside hitter Stephanie Bonura and freshman middle blocker Balieigh Schaetter block an MSU attack.

The Cardinals beat MSU in a quick four sets, improving their record to 5-6 overall and 2-3 in the LSC. 

 

Leading the team in offense was junior outside hitter Stephanie Bonura with 15 kills and senior setter Sarah Nordman with 21 assists.  Lydia Werchan, junior libero, made sure the Mustangs didn't put too many points on the board with a total of 20 digs. 

 

UIW held the Mustangs to an outstanding -.028 attacking percentage in the third set while they maintained an attacking percentage of .300.

 

Senior outside hitter Miranda Byrd tried to keep MSU in the match with 15 kills.  Right there with her was Kristan Aduddell, freshman setter, with 19 assists.  On the back end of several of UIW's attacks was senior outside hitter, Hillary White with 16 digs.

 

The Cardinals are set to play their third home game of the year on Saturday, Sept.17 at 2 p.m. against Cameron.
