Incarnate Word freshman Amanda Bishop was the top finisher for the Cardinals in her first race as a collegiate athlete. Bishop ran an impressive 14:41.4 good enough for 7th place. She was the second highest Div II runner in the event. The second finisher for the Cardinals was Irma Garza at 15:38.0.
The Cardinals finished with 117 points good enough for a 5th place finish in the event. The winner of the event was also the host of the event. The Baylor
Bears finished with an impressive score of only 17 with the top four finishers all going to the Bears.
Next up for the Cardinals is a trip to Lubbock on September 16 to run in the Texas Tech Open.
