The Incarnate Word women's tennis team just wrapped up a brutal road trip that included four matches in three days.

The Cardinals dropped the first match to Midwestern State 5-4. UIW took two out of three doubles matches but failed to win three singles matches to get the win. Casey Bulls defeated Leah Roberts and Maggae Doney defeated Lindsay Holcomb to get the two singles points. The deciding match came between UIW's Audrey Hernandez and MSU's Rozike van Rensburg. Hernanded fell in a tie breaker after falling down 5-0 in the third set.

The team bus quickly traveled to Oklahoma to compete in three more matches. The Cardinals took care of Northwest Missouri (5-4) before dropping two straight to Central Oklahoma (1-5) and Cameron (2-5). Freshman Maggae Doney was a perfect 2-0 on the week in singles. Her other two matches were officially scored as unfinished.

Incarnate Word will travel to St. Marys next Thursday to take on the Rattlers in a non-conference match. The Cardinals beat the Rattlers 8-1 earlier in the season. The first serve will be at 1:00 PM.
