The University of the Incarnate Word women's team dropped a Lone Star Conference matchup on Friday night, losing, 3-1, to Texas Woman's University on the road in Denton.

The Cardinals (4-3-4 overall, 2-3-3 in the LSC) surrendered three goals in the first half. UIW's goal came in the 71st minute off a header by Sam Johnson. Johnson's goal came on a crossing pass by Sarah Parker.
