SAN ANTONIO -- Sophomore Domantas Trota was named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Swimmer of the Week, the league announced Wednesday morning.

Trota swept his individual events at the Cardinals' season opener against TCU, winning the 50 freestyle in 20.82 and the 100 freestyle in 45.18.

The Lithuania native also helped UIW to a victory in the 200 medley relay, swimming the freestyle leg in 19.59. He then led off the 400 freestyle relay in 45.20, helping the Cardinals finish second.

Trota and the rest of the Cardinals will hit the road for their first away meet of the season in Dallas, facing SMU and Oklahoma Christian on Oct. 1 at 2 p.m.
