It was a pure field day for the Incarnate Word men's track and field team as the second day of the Texas Invitational was just field events for the Cardinals athletes.

There were three top-three finishes across three events. Gibson Conrad placed second in javelin with a throw of 44.57 meters. Then Alex Brown and Pablo Gonzalez each placed third in their respective events, Brown in hammer throw and Gonzalez in shot put. Brown's best throw was 57.47 meters and Gonzalez hit 14.78 meters to earn their marks. Mason Winecoff added a fifth-place finish in hammer throw with a distance of 51.36 meters.

Incarnate Word is off next week as they prepare for the Southland Conference Championships, held May 14-16 in Nacogdoches, TX.
