The Incarnate Word Men's Swimming & Diving Team wrapped-up Day 2 of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MSPF) Conference Championships on Thursday. The Cardinals slipped to sixth place with 85 team points through 16 events.
Notable Results:
- Luis De Oliviera placed second in the Men's 50 Yard Freestyle, finishing in 19.34 seconds. De Oliviera missed breaking the MSPF Meet record by 0.09 seconds, but he did beat the NCAA Qualifying time of 19.43 seconds.
- Cheston Francis finished 10th in the Men's 50 Yard Freestyle with a time of 20.13 seconds.
- Belal Zahran scored points for the Cardinals with a fourth-place finish in the Men's 1m Diving consolation final, totaling 253.75 points in his dives.
The Cardinals return to the City of Pharr Natatorium for Day 3 of the MSPF Conference Championships tomorrow, February 27th with prelims starting at 10:00 a.m.
