The Incarnate Word Men's Swimming & Diving Team opened up the MPSF Swimming & Diving Championship with a pair of solid finishes in Day 1 relays, in preparation for the rest of the week's events.

The Cardinals Men's 200 Yard Medley Relay team of Luis De Oliveira, Yassen Sherrif, Ahmed Tork, and Cheston Francis took fifth place with a time of 1:27.92 to open the day's events.

Then, later in the evening, the Incarnate Word relay team of Tork, Miguel Ribiero, Derek Montoya, and Carson Smith placed sixth in the Men's 800 Yard Freestyle Relay, finishing in 6:40.30.

Day 2 of the 2026 MPSF Swimming & Diving Championship resumes tomorrow as the Cardinals will take to the pool to secure their spot in late-week finals.
